Our Story

Fishbar is the latest concept from Southern Cross Hospitality. It joins a portfolio that includes The Collins Quarter, an Australian-inspired café and restaurant; The Fitzroy, a chef-driven seasonal American restaurant; and Ukiyo, a Japanese izakaya and ramen bar. Fishbar builds on this expertise in international flavors with a seasonally driven menu of wood-fired shared plates crafted from regional produce and proteins.

Our Philosophy

Fishbar, we keep things simple: start with the freshest ingredients we can get our hands on, treat them with respect, and let honest technique do the rest. Most of our cooking is guided by the seasons and the fire, it’s how we build dishes that feel both familiar and a little unexpected, comforting without being predictable.

Our menu is intentionally flexible, with options for different tastes and dietary needs, because a good meal should be something everyone at the table can enjoy.

More than anything, our goal is to make people feel genuinely cared for. Warm service, attention to detail, and food made with real intention. That’s the heart of Fishbar, and it’s what we hope you feel every time you walk through our doors.

Visit Us

Guests can enjoy use of our private parking lot at 2302 Bull Street, while dining. This monitored lot allows you to park conveniently, just half a block from the restaurant. Whether you are a regular guest or visiting for the first time, we look forward to welcoming you and making your time with us delightful and memorable.
